Snow! (Welcome to Narnia!)

It doesn't snow that often in London. But when it does, the whole world just looks so different.

Our back garden gate looks like something out of Narnia.

See, you could just open that door and be in Narnia, right? Where is that bloody lamppost? And Mr Tumnus? Where's he at?
I love it when we get snow. There's something about snow that makes the world become somehow more quiet and more slow. It's as if for a few hours the world takes a deep breath. It's kind of amazing.

See what I mean . . . so quiet. Of course it's nighttime. Maybe people are just indoors, sleeping?
And of course, the day after the snow falls, there's nothing quite like wandering around your neighbourhood and seeing how snow dresses up old familiar places and makes them look new.

This is the Churchyard on our high street. It's so creepy. Even in the snow.

But, my favourite thing about snow? The nearly guilt free ability to drink your fill of hot cocoa (with or without Baileys)! Yum!
